| History: | Fars News Agency (FNA) is Iran's leading independent news agency, covering a wide variety of subjects in different, political, economic, cultural, social, legal, sports, military and other areas with the most up-to-date, independent, unbiased and reliable news and reports in Persian and English. Ever since its establishment in early 2003, it has been making its way towards daily progress and gaining reputation as a trustworthy source of information dissemination by presenting accountable and up to the minute news, reports, analyses, interviews and articles making use of a team of experts who specialize in the field and who have dedicated themselves to the job. As our English department was established in December 2005 -with the first four months as our test run, we have actually started our official broadcast since March 21st, 2006- we still look forward to receiving feedbacks from our viewers in order to find out which areas they might be more interested in. That's actually why, here in the English department, we are not bringing you an English version of every piece of news, interview, article or analysis our colleagues produce in the Persian department.
