China started decorating its pavilion at the international exhibition EXPO 2017. Its theme is "The Future of Energy, Green Silk Road". The China Pavilion occupies the area of 1,000 square meters. China will present three thematic plots: past, present and future energy development. The international exhibition will be attended by large companies from 24 regions of the country. Numerous events will be held as well. For example, Kazakh-Chinese forum on energy and tourism will be held in as part of the Astana World Exposition. Primarily, China will display its achievements in "green" energy development.

VAN TUNG, STRATEGIC PLANNING MANAGER, XIE XIN CORPORATION:

Our company is the leader on introduction of new energy sources in China. We have branches in many countries of the world. "Xie Xin" Corporation produces solar cells. At present, we launched the production of solar energy generators, and invest more in it. I think that the Astana international exhibition will give a great impetus to the development of alternative energy sources.

At present, 112 countries have already received their EXPO pavilions. Chinese participants have first started decorating their pavilion. According to the National Commissioner Wang Jin Zheng, everything goes according to plan. They attach great importance to the preparation for exhibition.

WANG JING ZHENG, NATIONAL COMMISSIONER OF CHINA PAVILION:

We plan to organize a Forum on Energy and Tourism as part of the exhibition, and a number of events conducted by entrepreneurs. Of course, it will strengthen friendship between our countries and contribute economic cooperation. Now we are actively informing Chinese citizens about the EXPO in Astana. I am sure this will be one of the largest and most important events of the year and it will be held successfully.

The year of 2017 is declared the year of China's tourism in Kazakhstan. According to the National Commissioner of the pavilion, it is expected that nearly 350,000 Chinese residents will visit Astana EXPO.
