The trade turnover between Kazakhstan and France is increasing. As it became known during the 13th meeting of the Kazakh-French intergovernmental commission for economic cooperation, in six months of this year, the trade turnover made up 1 billion 700 million dollars, which is 46 percent higher than at the same period in 2016. France is the 5th largest trade partner of Kazakhstan. The volume of investments from this European republic to the economy of Kazakhstan has amounted to more than $13.5 billion over the past 12 years. Following the meeting, the parties signed a number of agreements on cooperation in agriculture, renewable energy, space and healthcare.

- 140 French companies operate in Kazakhstan. Among them are the largest ones, such as Total, the world’s fourth largest oil producer, as well as Ariston, Danone, electric locomotives manufacturing company. We also plan to export these products.

- We see that French companies have all the necessary conditions for development in Kazakhstan. We intend to expand our presence here. There is a favorable investment and tax climate to do so.
