Kazakhstan and Turkey are interested in expanding mutual business cooperation. At a meeting of exporters, the chief of the special economic zone “South” Medeu Dildabaev emphasized that the parties intend to intensify cooperation in particular in the light industry. At a special meeting, the chiefs of leading industrial enterprises and the Turkish Light Industry Association were presented Kazakhstan’s investment opportunities. Especially foreign entrepreneurs were interested in a special economic zone and tax incentives for investors.

I believe that investing in Kazakhstan is very profitable. We are very interested in tax and customs benefits, provided in the special economic zone and support for investors from the local authorities.

Our goal is to attract Turkish investors in Kazakhstan’s light and textile industry. Jointly with the Chief Consulate, we have gathered the chiefs of major textile enterprises, to present them the potential of the special economic zone, the economy of South Kazakhstan region and to tell in general about the benefits offered to foreign investors in Kazakhstan.

Turkey today is Kazakhstan’s important trade and economic partner. Dozens of major Turkish companies operate in Kazakhstan. In general, about 1,500 companies with Turkish capital are registered in the country. And experts say that their number will increase. Two countries intend to strengthen the potential of bilateral cooperation.
