Kazakhstan is planning to increase its presence in the Caucasus. Representatives of nearly 20 largest Kazakhstani companies presented their products in Tbilisi. Kazakh specialists in machine building, chemical industry, food, metallurgy and other sectors held talks with Georgian distributor companies.

MEIRZHAN MAIKENOV, DEPUTY CHAIRMAN, KAZAKH INVEST:
- The assortment is very large; Kazakhstan is ready to offer a wide range of products to the Georgian consumer. We held several rounds of negotiations today, and we see great interest. We are planning to conclude new contracts at the forum, and accordingly we will contribute to the expansion of bilateral trade.

ANDRO LABAKHUYA, SPOKESPERSON, CHAIN OF SUPERMARKETS, GEORGIA:
- Georgian companies and Kazakh manufacturers – it's a quite promising meeting. Especially in the light when Georgia might interest Kazakhstani manufacturers not just as a sales market but also as a passway to Europe. As you can see, very serious business contacts are being established here now.

This is the fifth business forum held in Tbilisi. It was organized with the support of the Kazakh Embassy in Georgia. Contracts worth $10 million were concluded between the Georgian and Kazakhstani entrepreneurs as a result of two business forums.

YERMUKHAMET YERTYSBAYEV, KAZAKH AMBASSADOR TO GEORGIA:
- Georgia is very interested in Kazakhstan's products. They were impressed by the book named 'Kazakhstan's export products'. This is a very interesting book. I was surprised to find out that Kazakhstan makes such a huge variety of goods.

Apart from Georgia, Kazakh Invest is planning to present Kazakhstani products in Russia, China, Uzbekistan and Mongolia.
