The Astana International Financial Center (AIFC) is searching for young talents among the Kazakh students in British universities. A job fair was held in London for the students and graduates of the Bolashak program. The event was attended by about 100 young Kazakhstanis who study in the leading universities in United Kingdom. These include Universities of Oxford and Cambridge, the London School of Economics and Political Sciences as well as universities of Liverpool and Manchester. The students were briefed on the opportunities and prospects of building careers at AIFC’s arbitration center and stock exchange.

ARMAN SHOKPAROV, HEAD, AIFC CAREER CENTER:
- Who are we looking for? As it is a financial center, we primarily consider students majoring in finance, law, economics, strategy and development. What are we looking for? Since it is an international financial center, we use the principles of English Law. The official language at the center is English and graduates from British universities are most suitable for us as potential candidates.

The staff of the AIFC Bureau of Continuing Professional Development held a series of interviews with the eligible Master’s and Doctoral students. The candidates were also introduced to the working conditions at AIFC.

YERLAN KAIRULLAYEV, STUDENT, BRUNEL UNIVERSITY LONDON:
- I would like to make my contribution to the establishment of the Astana International Financial Center in terms of international cooperation and recruitment of foreign employees and integration with other stock markets in our region, including the Moscow Stock Exchange.

The recruiters have formed a group of candidates for employments at the various units under AIFC. The candidates include seven professionals with about 10 years working experience as well as international certificates holder. AIFC will also recruit undergraduates which will form its pool of young specialists.
