They are representatives of ministries, experts and entrepreneurs from Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Europe, China and other countries. The event was dedicated to the Chinese initiative "One belt - One Road". The participants have also discussed the topic of the development of the Trans-Caspian corridor.

VENCHAY JANG, VICE PRESIDENT, ASIAN DEVELOPMENT BANK:
- I can tell you like the East-West corridor, right, next year we have big projects for support the east-west road corridor and also in the coming years we will support the north-south corridor

The head of the Georgian government highlighted in his speech that Georgia is aimed at reconnecting the West and the East, and becoming an important component of the new Silk Road.

GIORGI KVIRIKASHVILI, PRIME MINISTER OF GEORGIA:
- The revival of the Great Silk Road as part of "One belt - One Road" program is based on five basic principles: peace, prosperity, openness, innovation and the connection of civilizations, it requires active dialogue in the public or private sector. We hope that this conference will give us a good opportunity for this.

Kazakhstan is one of the key players in the revival of the new Silk Road. The republic has established freight flows from China to Europe and back. The Kazakh delegation arrived in Tbilisi to present new opportunities.

MAKSAT KABASHEV, VICE PRESIDENT, NC KAZAKHSTAN TEMIR ZHOLY:
- Large investments have been made in this area over the past nine years. At present, it allows to export goods from East China to Turkey within two weeks. Containers are transported through the territory of China and Kazakhstan. About 1,500 kilometers of new roads have been constructed, the new port Kuryk is already in operation. Today’s conference is devoted to this topic - how to develop, and how to cooperate. This is a large integration project for all participants.

Kazakhstan is highly interested in the transit potential of Georgia, and therefore has leased Batumi port for 49 years. The Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway will become an additional factor in the success of the "One belt - One Road" initiative, experts say. The port of Anaklia will open new opportunities for cooperation, the foundation of which will be laid on December 20.
