Specialists of Astana International Financial Center will be trained in Great Britain. Cooperation perspectives were discussed at a meeting between Leicester University and Kazakhstan’s Public Administration Academy. They agreed to open an English language school at the Public Administration Academy with involvement of British experts. The parties also intend to develop a special training program for the AIFC specialists. The academy will organize internships for the students of Leicester University. The parties have also discussed the introduction of English law in training curriculum.

PAUL BOYLE, PRESIDENT, UNIVERSITY OF LEICESTER:

We’ve had some conversations about whether we can provide some specialist training in English. We are very conscious that the APA and other organizations here perhaps among civil servants and other businesses require some good training in specific English language skills. So this is one of the possibilities that have been raised with us today. We happened to have one of the largest English language training centers in the UK. So, of course, we have very strong skills in training and that what we can consider bringing in Kazakhstan.

SAYASAT NURBEK, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, ASTANA INTERNATIONAL FINANCIAL CENTER:

It is important for us to launch the long term training program for our specialists who will further work at the International Arbitration Centre of the AIFC.

At present, there are two training programs for lawyers at the Astana Financial Center. One of them is Bolashak scholarship on the basis of the London Corporation The City UK and the other one is the British Law Society program.
