COOPERATION BETWEEN KAZAKHSTAN AND VIETNAM

Kazakhstan is expanding economic cooperation with Vietnam. According to Beketzhan Zhumakhanov, Kazakh ambassador to Vietnam, there has been an increase in Kazakhstan's exports to the Vietnamese market over the past two years. Exports revenue has reached $146 million in the past six months. The ambassador also noted that the creation of a transport corridor between the countries will give a huge impetus to the promotion of domestic products to the Vietnamese market and later to the ASEAN countries with a population of more than 600 million people.

BEKETZHAN ZHUMAKHANOV, KAZAKH AMBASSADOR TO VIETNAM:
- We need to build a transport and logistics route. The Vietnamese trade with the EAEU by sea. They deliver their goods to the port of St. Petersburg. The delivery takes 45-50 days. What we are proposing today to Vietnam is to use its northern part. They have two railway tracks there that might bring them to Kazakhstan, Russia and Europe.
