The artists of the Astana Opera Theater continue to present the works of recognized world classics to people. A creative evening was held to mark the 130th birth anniversary of one of the most famous Brazilian composers Heitor Villa-Lobos. The best arrangements of the Latin American author sounded from the Chamber Hall stage. The composer’s creativity includes over a thousand works in various genres, including operas, symphonies, chamber compositions, songs, romances, and plays for individual instruments.

His music is very specific and very interesting, because the Latin American composer conducted a synthesis between Brazilian folklore and the European academic music, and this is greatly reflected in his music.

The leading soloists of the Astana Opera orchestra Zhupar Gabdullina, Assel Zhakiyanova, Zhanar Akhatova conducted by the Honored worker of Kazakhstan, maestro Abzal Mukhitdinov represented beautiful Brazilian motives from the stage. The evening of the Brazilian music is included in the cycle “Across the countries and continents”. As part of this musical- enlightening project, listeners are presented the works of great composers, who glorified their countries in different years.
