An unusual concert “An Evening by the Fireplace” was held in the Chamber Hall of Astana Opera. Connoisseurs of musical-poetic genre had the pleasure of listening to the best Kazakh performers. Stage decorations created a cozy atmosphere of romanticism. The spectators listened to old romances and beautiful songs with the accompaniment of melodic instruments.

According to the organizers, in addition to connoisseurs of lyrical romance, recently, the Kazakh younger generation is increasingly interested in the poetic genre. Concertmasters associate this trend with a well-chosen repertoire, which includes works of different countries and generations.

RAUSHAN BESKEMBIROVA, CONCERTMASTER, ASTANA OPERA:

We divided the concert into parts. At the beginning, the classical arrangements are performed, and then they are followed by the Kazakh romances, and guitar. The part with the guitar will feature songs from the movies of composer Petrov. The music is diverse.

Audience especially warmly welcomes the classic Russian romance with a guitar, the soloist of Astana Opera Tatyana Vitsinskaya says. At the concert she performed several numbers. According to the singer, she enjoyed performing in this genre because she considers the romance song to have the deepest meanings.

TATYANA VITSINSKAYA, SOLOIST, ASTANA OPERA:

The romance genre, of course, is always interesting. It is a solo performance. The most important thing is to convey the meaning. Romance is like a little life.

“An Evening by the Fireplace” started the cycle of concerts “The charm of Romance”. Throughout the season, the Astana Opera soloists will give several concerts in the romance genre.
