Last week, the Mongolian ethnic music band called “Khusugtun” has won second place at one of the world’s famous shows named “Asia’s got talent”.
The band plays in an ethnic ballad style and its members have performed their best songs at the contest.
Out of more than a thousand acts that were auditioned for the first stage of the talent show only 24 most talked-about contestants were selected for the next stage. Further, 9 contestants out of 24, 3 out of 9 were selected for the next stages. Out of best three performers two were got into the final- El Gamma Penumbra, a shadow-play group from Philippines and ethnic ballad group "The Khusugtun" from Mongolia.
The judges have recognized that “Khusugtun” band could elucidate important features of Asian culture by taking second place through the hard competition and strict requirements to the participants of the talent show.
The members of the group have created a sound of pure nature and made the impression as if the audience is in the Mongolian steppe. After listening a beautiful melody performed by the group, one of the judges has said “your music makes me travel, I have just arrived from Mongolia”.
The “Khusugtun” is a group of the Mongolian National Song and Dance Academic Ensemble. Members of the band got famous abroad by winning many international prizes such as Grand Prix from International Khuumii symposium, Gold medal in acapella category from “Art olimpic” in Cheju, South Korea and Grand Prix from “Earth Breath” International Folk festival in Ulan-Ude, Russia.
