Head of the National Commission for Human Rights S.Byambadorj:

Last year State Great Khural began to discuss human rights matters in Mongolia after discussing them at civil society organization. It makes it more fruitful.

The annual report focuses on making reforms at a policy level with aims to attract attention of the State Great Khural, government, their associated bodies and public organizations to urgent problems on human rights, to stop human rights violations and to improve realization of human rights.

Member of the National Commission for Human Rights P.Oyunchimeg:

The recommendation reflects a special clause on putting issues of workplace sexual harassment and family violence into the criminal law. In addition to this, clauses on torture account for 20 to 30% of that recommendation.

Since its establishment, the National Commission for Human Rights has been presenting the report to parliament. This year’s report reflects safety at the construction sector, forced labour, rights of being employed, some matters of women’s and children’s rights within family violence and gender equality.
