Mongolian becomes the champion of Asian continent
Моngolian powerlifter B.Chimedtseren won a gold medal in men’s -120 kg category of the Asian Bench-Press Championships-2016 which was organized in Tashkent, Uzbekistan on October 14 to 21. Thus, he becomes the champion of the Asian continent.
Mongolia was represented by three athletes. Another mongolian athlete L.Barkhasbaatar has grabbed a bronze medal, having pressed 257.5 kg.
Children’s Museum opens
A Children’s Museum has been set up in Ulaanbaatar at the Shangri-La Mall with a purpose of developing logical thinking of and encouraging cognitive interests of children. The museum is devoted for younger audience aged 2 to 7. All children are allowed to touch the exhibits of the museum which suit well to their age qualities and features and help them develop their cognitive abilities.
G.Ariunbaatar to receive the Order of Chinggis Khaan
State Honored Artist G.Ariunbaatar will become a laureate of the supreme state prize - the Order of Chinggis Khaan. He is the Grand Prix winner of the 15th International Tchaikovsky Competition and the soloist at Mariinsky Theatre of St Petersburg, Russia.
This Order will be handed over to Ariunbaatar on October 31 on the birth anniversary of Chinggis Khaan and the National Pride Day of Mongolia.
Mongolian cyclists leaves for South Korea
In the morning of October 22, a team of young people from the International Mountain Bicycling Association of Mongolia headed to South Korea to overcome 660 kilometer route. Their main goal is to promote Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia and to raise people’s awareness of protecting health. Their bicycle trip will start from Seoul and finish in Busan.
