Several days ago some inhabitants from the Manlai soum of Umnugobi province have found pure gold jewelries with an image of mountain goat. Archaeologists say that these findings had belonged to the King of Hunnu State, the first state in the Mongoian territory. These unique archaeological findings which are of 3000-5000 years of age are considered very rare not only in Mongolia but in the world.
The fact that valuable items used by the King of Hunnu state were found is going to be a tangible evidence about existing of Hunnu state in the Gobi region, archaeologists say.
Mongolian Deputy Prime Minister Mr Ts.Oyunbaatar who was born in the Umnugobi province has taken the initiative to engolden the findings on his own expenses -2 mln tugrics. On the 30th of December Mr Oyunbaatar handed over these gold-plated findings to the Head of the Citizen’s Representatives’s Khural of the Umnugobi province.
