Kazakhstan’s global initiatives are voiced on all platforms of the United Nations. The Republic offered to hold an international conference on youth development in 2020 and create a special online platform for discussing the topical questions related to young generation. The Kazakhstan delegation took part in the forum of the UN Economic and Social Council in New York. Vice Minister for Religious Affairs and Civil Society Abzal Nukenov also met with the leadership of ECOSOC (The United Nations Economic and Social Council) and spoke at the plenary session of the conference.

ABZAL NUKENOV, KAZAKH VICE MINISTER FOR RELIGIOUS AFFAIRS AND CIVIL SOCIETY:
- We are planning to hold a series of meetings with our colleagues in a bilateral and multilateral format to determine the most advanced practices for us, and share our experience. You know that Kazakhstan is implementing a number of interesting programs for young university graduates. I think that our experience, our practice will be of interest to the world community.

The World Youth Forum, held at the UN headquarters, was attended by leaders of youth movements of Kazakhstan. The republic was represented by leader of the youth wing of Nur Otan party Daniyar Sundetbayev. Leaders of youth organizations from different countries exchanged views and ideas on promoting the goals of sustainable development, the use of clean energy sources, the protection of biological diversity, and the development of "green cities". The forum participants discussed questions on expanding opportunities in the field of youth employment and innovative approach to education.

DANIYAR SUNDETBAYEV, LEADER OF ZHAS OTAN:
- After the visit of our President to the United States, we are the first to take part in the UN forum. We are very pleased that for the first time the youth organization of Kazakhstan participates in such a large event. The theme of this forum is sustainable development of towns and villages. It is a very interesting topic for our country, since now we have some questions with the migration of the population and it is necessary to develop rural areas. I am participating in the 17th session on "Smart Cities". At present, our state pays much attention to youth. Participation in this forum is important for us. Today, we are the only participants among Central Asian countries.
