40 school students from all over Kazakhstan will have the opportunity to undergo internship in the school of aerospace at Cranfield University in the United Kingdom. Such opportunity is provided to the finalists of the competition in the field of transport. More than 80 school students from all over Kazakhstan presented their aerospace related projects in Nazarbayev University.

NIKITA BRODEL, PARTICIPANT:
- There are four of us. We prepared a project based on an assignment given by Cranfield University. The assignment was quite difficult taking into account that we only had one week to complete the task. But we succeeded and we want to win the competition. The objective of the project is to implement innovations that improve the effectiveness of aircraft operations.

The participants were evaluated based on several criteria, such as the project’s practical value, the English language proficiency and the correct answers to the questions of the competition commission. According to organizers, the best students reached the final, which is a significant achievement for every school student.

SULTAN AITZHANOV, DEPUTY DIRECTOR, KAZAKH FIRST PRESIDENT’S FOUNDATION:
- The purpose of this competition is to spark interest in making informed choices of profession among our school students. We suggested the aerospace industry as an option for the school children. Professionals representing the aerospace industry and our Kazakh companies showed interest in holding such activities.

The activities will address the shortage of technical professionals in the aerospace industry. The organizers expect that the competition will make a significant contribution in the education of young specialists in fields of transport, logistics and aviation.
