-Should we accept the sexual minority?
It is explained that sexual orientation is an enduring personal quality that inclines people to feel romantic or sexual attraction to persons of the opposite sex or gender, the same sex or gender, or to both sexes or more than one gender. Due to poor understanding on sexual orientation, it has appeared an understanding on sexual minority. It still exists sexism in the society.
-Could Mongolia protect the right of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people?
In accordance with the UN review of its human rights, Mongolia has pledged to implement 129 recommendations on antidiscrimination. Seven of these recommendations are concerning on protecting the right of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people. This international act is considered a creation of mechanism to protect the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people. Moreover, an achievement has been observed in the legal sector in terms of protecting these people. A law on crime, to be discussed at parliament, has included provisions on banning sexism. According to this law, it will give a sentence if someone commits sexism or drubbing to injury. Also it will punish if public serviceman does sexism.
-Is there any positive attitude on sexism in other sectors?
This issue is now being discussed in labor relation sector. According to the revised law on labor, it will pursue a policy on having no discrimination in the sexual orientation.
-Is there any official data on the number of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people?
There is a standard issued by the World Health Organization. According to this standard, it considers that 10 percent of the total population is lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people. Today, why total number of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people is not exposed to the society. First, this is individual right. A person has the right to not disclose his/her sexual orientation. On the other hand, social situation and legal condition is not ready to accept such people.
