80 servicemen who are selected from different units of the Mongolian army and Border troops started last week an intensive drill in marching skills. Many of them who have successfully gone through the selection have participated in peacekeeping operations. By the way, training in marching skiils will take 6 hours a day during two months while it usually takes in Russia 2 hours a day.
Besides that, the President of Mongolia Mr Elbegdorj is also invited to take part in the Victory Day events.
During the World War II Mongolia contributed 500,000 horses as well as a tank regiment and an Air Force squadron to the Red Army which were formed on donations given by the Mongolian people. Our people also have sent 9 train echelons with ammunition, foodstuffs and presents for the Soviet army servicemen. Mongolia also delivered around half a million tons of meat and 64 000 tons of wool to the Soviet Union.
