First forum of Mongolian civil society organizations has been held with participation of about 150 representatives from over 100 NGOs. This event has considered urgent problems faced by Mongolia in the different fields of social life and discussed the ways of solutions for them. The participants of the forum are planning to reach a combined decision on the problems and then will convey it to authorities.
In order to do so, they intend to touch upon urgent problems within topics of economy, court, justice, human rights, environment, culture and history, and will unify their proposals for resolving them. The forum's organizers have told the media that they will hold a demonstration in order to deliver a demand to the state based on opinions and conclusions released by the forum which is called "Let's live in our Mongolia".
The civil society organizations' main functions are to oppose incorrect decisions of the state, to collaborate in retrieving mistakes done by the state and to protect people's interests. They are preparing to run the demonstration to remind that civil movements still have been putting their control over the state although representatives of civil society organizations give their voice at parliament from the position of third body.
