The President of Mongolia Elbegdorj Tsakhia delivered lecture on development issues at the Mongolian University of Science and Technology /MUST/ on March 14. This lecture has brought together over 350 students, teachers and scholars.
“In order to develop Mongolia, we should develop our people. In order to raise Mongolia, we should raise our people up. We have enough potential to do this,” the President said, beginning his lecture.
“Big success of many Mongolian young people who have risen the Mongolian reputation around the world incluenced me to have such huge confidence,” Elbegdorj said. Then he introduced to the gathered a result of a research of IQ rate of nations that proved a high intellectual potential of Mongolian people. This research was has involved 113 nations, and Mongolia has ranked 5th by IQ potential. It means that Mongolia can develop based on intellectual potential of its people, he said.

The lecture’s key point was the idea that we should develop our people in order to develop our country. So the Presdient urged all youths to develop Mongolia by overseeing a global development. “Scholars and students should develop their studies together with top works in the world,” he pointed out.
According to him, it is time to focus attention to ensure freedom of the educations sector in Mongolia. We urgently should launch a reform in it, he said, and emphasized a requirement to introduce training programmes of the world’s top universities in the national educational system.
