Four new offshore fields will be developed by a consortium of companies that are mining at Kashagan. Studies have already been completed on the Kalamkas Sea and Khazar. The profitability of production will be clear after the producers obtain the first results. In addition, experts have started exploring the potential of deposits of Aktoty and Kairan sites which are located near Kashagan. Since the beginning of operation in September 2016, 11.5 million tonnes of oil and 3.5 billion cubic meters of gas were extracted here.
