The new trains brought up to the capital will be put into operation in the next few days. French Alstom`s memorandum envisages the purchase by Baku Metro Station company of three 5-car trains. Two trains have already been delivered to Baku.

One more train will be brought to the electrical depot of the Baku Metro. The new trains differ both externally and internally than the old ones. The new trains with a different passenger capacity will have cross-linking wagons. The wagons are fully equipped with a ventilation system. Saloon will have a “moving line” system and surveillance cameras. New trains are configured for disabled people.

Baku Metro Press and Public Relations Department head Nasimi Pashayev noted there will be additional purchase of such trains in the future as well.

The creation of Diagnostics Complex is one of the important steps towards improving security, accuracy, and passenger transportation of the Baku Metro Station.

The main task of the complex is to control code and signals of the system of automatic speed regulation for trains. Every obstacle against the flawless and convenient traffic will be registered and analyzed. Defects will be forecasted in advance every operation will be registered as a video.
