Oyutolgoi mine which is one of the largest in the world by its gold and copper reserves is reaching a culmination in its construction works.

The project has a prominent importance for the economy of Mongolia. The project deploys on the short-term contract basis skillful engineers and technical staff from foreign countries to accelerate the mine construction works. Today, Oyutolgoi numbers about 10 thousand native workers whose number will reach 3500 accounting for 90 percent of the total number of the staff by 2013 when the mine commence its operation.

Then the mine will operate with its full capacity, it will generate 35 percent of GDP. During a decade period after beginning the extraction activity, the number of Mongolian engineers will account for 70 percent of the total number of engineers being deployed at the mine.

The project allots heavy investments to training Mongolian citizens in order to increase the number of native employees. It is a good chance for Mongolia with its relatively young population and with a policy focusing on the increase in employment.
The project attracts skillful employees from all corners of Mongolia by its fair and transparent human resource selection criteria as well.
