Kazakhstani fashion designers successfully revive traditions. The young woman opened a studio for sewing traditional costumes. According to the designer, the atelier is very popular among the Kazakh women.

ZHULDYZAI NURUSHEVA, DESIGNER:

We want to revive the Kazakh traditions, dresses, to show how beautiful they really are.

There is a demand for traditional costumes in the neighboring Akmola region as well. Aiman Zhunusova creates not only clothes, but also household items. The designer dreams to open training courses.

AIMAN ZHUNUSSOVA, MASTER:

I have a dream to teach girls to sew, so that they are housewifely and could sew clothes. It is very attractive.

Presently, Kazakh designers are looking for new fashion ideas. A fashion show of traditional costumes was held at the House of Friendship in Petropavlovsk. Representatives of 11 nationalities demonstrated the costumes. The ethno-fashion festival raised great interest among the citizens.

SHAKHNIYAR ALLAHYAROVA, FESTIVAL PARTICIPANT:

I like to wear a traditional costume, whether it is a dress, a long dress or a skirt, a suit of different colors, blue, red, green, as on the flag of Azerbaijan.

Representatives of the Kazakh center plan to receive a grant and open a studio for tailoring of traditional clothes. Soon they will also produce such costumes.

GULBAHSHA MUSSABAEVA, CHAIRPERSON, KAZAKH CULTURAL AND EDUCATIONAL CENTER:

Our goal is to create modern fashion industry, Kazakhstani brand, particularly, modern clothes for young people. We want to sew dresses, or waistcoats. In general, I wish everyone, especially young people, to have such clothes in the wardrobe, where there will be a national ornament of his ethnos.
