12th Asia-Europe Finance Ministers Meeting (FinMM12) began in Ulaanbaatar on June 9. This two-day event consists of three parts. Every subconference will consider topics of economic issues faced on the regional level. For instance, during the first part of the meeting, Finance ministers are discussing the current status and future perspective of macroeconomic development of Asia and Europe to agree on actions for reducing vulnerability and promoting growth.
In the second part subconference, the participants will exchange Asian and European practices on regional and global sustainability, while the third part will mostly focus on establishing more effective and coordinated cooperation and connectivity. To be more specific, the participants unanimously consider that Asia-Europe economic ties will remain as the pillar power of world economic growth. In connection with this, the -meeting will designate policies on infrastructure that connects Asia and Europe as well as on interregional investment.
Besides that, wide range of issues, including improvement of economic connectivity and sustainability through increasing trade volume and workplaces, reducing poverty, minimizing development gap, have been discussed.
The event is being attended by 210 delegates from 43 countries.
