Tehran, April 9 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Iranian leader Hassan Rouhani have today had an expanded meeting involving the two countries` delegations.
They stressed the importance of President Ilham Aliyev`s official visit to Iran in terms of developing bilateral ties between the two countries.
The two presidents also recalled their meeting in Davos where they discussed ways to expand the Azerbaijan-Iran relations.
Presidents Ilham Aliyev and Hassan Rouhani noted there were good opportunities for enhancing friendly ties between Azerbaijan and Iran in a variety of fields, including politics, economy, investment making, energy, transport, infrastructure, culture and tourism.
They stressed the necessity of strengthening efforts to overcome obstacles to implementing these opportunities and deepening the cooperation even further.
After the expanded meeting the two presidents met in private.
