AzerTAc and Moscow State Linguistic University were interested in continuing joint projects as Director General of Azerbaijan State Telegraph Agency Aslan Aslanov has met the Professor of the Moscow State Linguistic University Marina Poletayeva and Ludmila Barmina.

Moscow State Linguistic University with the support of AzerTAc has organized courses titled “Russian-language journalism: Modern situation and the tendency of development”. The Employees of MSLU were sent to Azerbaijan to hold courses for journalists of various media structures of the country.

Addressing the meeting, they noted several employees of AzerTAc, as part of the State program, have gained journalism profession at MSLU.

They highlighted close cooperation between AzerTAc and ItarTASS, as well as holding the experience exchange.

Director General Aslan Aslanov highlighted the care and attention to the Russian culture and language in Azerbaijan.

Department Head of the University Marina Poletaeva thanked AzerTAc on behalf of Rector Irina Khaleeva for holding the courses. She stressed the importance of holding the courses in terms of dynamic development of modern journalism and Russian language.

Marina Poletaeva highlighted the active participation of Azerbaijan`s journalists in the courses, adding there were trained specialists.

Aslan Aslanov also provided an insight into Azerbaijan`s history, culture and development, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict as well as the Agency’s activity in international media organizations.

They exchanged views on modern journalism.
