Baku branch of Moscow State University holds first graduation ceremony
Baku, July 7 (AzerTAc). Baku branch of the Moscow State University after Mikhail Lomonosov has today held its first graduation ceremony.
The solemn ceremony was attended by chairman of the Russian State Duma Sergey Naryshkin, rector of the Moscow State University Viktor Sadovnichy, chairman of the State Duma Committee for CIS Affairs and Compatriots Leonid Slutsky, first deputy director general of ITAR-TASS Mikhail Gusman, ministers, committee chiefs, rectors of higher educational institutions, MPs, and parents.
The ceremony started with the demonstration of a film about the founding and activity of the Baku branch of the Moscow State University.
The event was opened by rector of the Baku branch of the Moscow State University, professor Nargiz Pashayeva.
Chairman of the Russian State Duma Sergey Naryshkin offered his congratulations on the first graduation ceremony.
Rector of the Moscow State University Viktor Sadovnichy also addressed the ceremony.
Following the speeches Sergey Naryshkin, Viktor Sadovnichy and Nargiz Pashayeva presented the diplomas.
Sona Nasibova thanked the participants and teachers on behalf of the graduates.
The graduates then performed the international student anthem.
