The next meeting of the News Agencies World Council has today kicked off in Baku.

Preparations are being discussed for the 5th News Agencies World Congress that will be hosted by AZERTAC in Baku in 2016.

The meeting is attended by President of the Saudi Press Agency and News Agencies World Congress Abdullah bin Fahd Al Hussein, President of the European Alliance of News Agencies (EANA) and Chief Executive Officer of British Press Association Clive Marshall, Director General of the Russian news agency ITAR-TASS Sergey Mikhailov, First Deputy Director General of ITAR-TASS Mikhail Gusman, Vice-President of Reuters Media in Europe Joachim Schmaltz, Vice President of the Associated Press John Daniszewski, Secretary General of the News Agencies World Congress Uffe Riis Sorensen, EANA's Secretary General Erik Nylen, Secretary-General of the Federation of Arab News Agencies (FANA) Farid Ayyar, Director General of Kazinform agency of Kazakhstan Dauren Diyarov, Director General of Turkmenistan State News Agency Bekdurdy Amansariev, Director General of BTA agency of Bulgaria Bojan Veselinovic, Director General of the national news agency of Romania (AGERPRES) Alexandru Giboi, Director General of BelTA agency of Belarus Dmitry Zhuk, Director General of the ELTA information agency Grazina Ramanauskaite-Tiumeneviene, First Deputy Director of Kabar News Agency of Kyrgyzstan Nurdin Urmambetov, Institutional Communications Development Management Manager of Télam - News Agency of Argentina Juan Manuel Fonrouge and representatives of Anadolu agency of Turkey, AGI news agency of Italy and Spain's EFE agency.
