President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Mr Tanaka Akihiko paid a visit to Mongolia on April 14-17.
In the scope of his visit, Mr Tanaka held meetings with the Prime Minister of Mongolia N.Altankhuyag and other relevant officials. Furthermore, Mr Tanaka gave a lecture in the Mongolian State University (MSU) with a theme “Developmental accelerator – Role of higher education in it and its opportunities”.
One of the key objectives of the visit was to get familiarized with projects implemented by the JICA in Mongolia.
Until 2012, the JICA rendered loans and assistance of 2.1 billion US dollars to Mongolia.
