The global community highly appreciates Kazakhstan’s contribution to strengthening peace and security in the world. Along with the anti-nuclear initiatives, the republic is known for its proposals to counter international terrorism. Politicians, world leaders and international experts say that Kazakhstan's approaches were timely and, most importantly, effective. The same opinion is shared by the head of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, Saber Chowdhury. He noted that Kazakhstan supported the creation of the UN Office to combat this global threat.

SABER CHOWDHURY, CHAIRMAN, INTER PARLIAMENTARY UNION:
- We signed a new agreement with them last year and I think this cooperation, this partnership will continue to grow because if you look at the charter of the UN, the first three words are ‘Be the People’ and I purely re[resent the parliament who represent the people.

"Kazakhstan peacekeeper" is already a world brand. The policy of peace and openness earned global trust. Foreign politicians named the Astana process the most successful in resolving the Syrian conflict.

- The initiative of Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev on holding the Astana process has contributed to the settlement of the Syrian conflict. My evaluation is very positive. Even negotiations in Geneva did not bring such a result as the meetings in Astana.

- Kazakhstan right now is the member of the Security Council, and these two countries are working for the peace of the world I know and everybody knows that the two countries are working together and have long history of working together

At present, Kazakhstan is a state that has already established itself as an active participant in major international peacekeeping processes. The Republic is also a unique model of inter-ethnic and inter-confessional dialogue, experts say. They admit that the experience gained by Kazakhstan is truly priceless.
