Kazakhstan entered the annual ‘Best Countries’ ranking of U.S. News & World Report platform. U.S. News describes Kazakhstan as “the world’s largest landlocked country”, located mainly in Central Asia. Kazakhstan’s economy is the largest in the region, and propelled by rich natural resources. The country is also one of the biggest uranium producers. Kazakhstan is a non-permanent member of the UN, OSCE and other international organizations. The countries were ranked by such criteria as development of tourism sector, innovations, culture, economic growth rate, openness for business, power, and historical heritage. The ranking was compiled by U.S. News & World Report in collaboration with the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and BAV Consulting. It is based on survey conducted among 20,000 people from 36 countries. Switzerland, Canada, Great Britain, Germany and Japan entered top 5 in the list of ‘Best Countries’ which includes 80 states.
