Kazakhstan’s chairmanship in the UN Security Council has attracted attention of not only the international community, but also leading international press. The American Huffington Post, one of the most prominent Pulitzer Prize winners for National Reporting published the article titled ‘A Kazakhstan model for North Korea Nuclear Settlement.’ Ariel Cohen, the author of the article says that Kazakhstan’s example in nuclear non-proliferation and disarmament, have much to offer to the United States, the two Koreas, and the world.

The Hill Times, a well-known Canadian newspaper issued an article about Kazakhstan’s international status in the world. Steven Staples, the author of the article, talks about Kazakhstan’s diplomatic success in gaining a seat in the United Nations Security Council, suggesting Canada could use some of its experience during its term as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council in 2021-2022. The article also discusses the positive results of the Astana Process on Syria and Kazakhstan’s other peacemaking initiatives.
