LiveU, the pioneer and leader in IP-based live video services and broadcast solutions for acquisition, management and distribution, has held a presentation at AZERTAC.

With top-tier customers in more than 60 countries, LiveU’s solutions are being utilized for breaking and developing news and high-profile events, such as the FIFA World Cup, Winter and Summer Olympic Games.

Prior to the presentation, LiveU President for CIS Svetlana Ginzburg and PROMIX Sales Manager Ibrahim Aghasiyev met with AZERTAC Director General Aslan Aslanov.

Mr Aslanov provided an insight into the history and activity of AZERTAC.

“Founded at the time of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, the agency has gone through a great development path over its 95 year long history. Azerbaijan`s regaining its independence marked a turning point in the history of AZERTAC and opened a new chapter in its development. AZERTAC was supplied with state-of-the-art technology, and expanded its international relations.”

“Today we produce news in seven and videos in five languages on a round-the-clock basis,” he said.

Mr Aslanov said AZERTAC was a member of international media organizations, including EANA, OANA and BSANNA. “We maintain cooperation with news agencies in 130 countries worldwide, and have 21 bureaus abroad.”

At the presentation, Svetlana Ginzburg said LiveU's award-winning technology enables live, wireless video transmission from any location around the world with lightweight, easy-to-use equipment. “From transmission backpacks to smartphones, and satellite/cellular hybrid to external antenna solutions, LiveU offers a complete range of devices for live, mobile video transmission anytime, anywhere. In addition, LiveU offers extensive cloud-based management and video distribution solutions.” She said: “LiveU’s solutions include multiple 4G LTE/3G, HSPA+, WiMAX and Wi-Fi cellular links, which are optimized for maximum video quality based on the available network conditions. All LiveU products are based on this fourth-generation patented technology.”

She also responded to questions from AZERTAC employees.

AZERTAC and LiveU agreed to jointly carry out a test online broadcasting.
