Prime Minister of Mongolia Mr Ch.Saikhanbileg and Prime Minister of Japan Mr Shinzo Abe signed on Tuesday an Economic partnership agreement or Free Trade deal in Tokyo, Japan. Before signing the Agreement heads of government of the two countries ran official negotiations.
In connection of this important event both PMs made a joint statement.
Mr Abe has expressed a satisfaction with the conclusion of the Agreement that was in talks for last three years. “The first Economic Partnership Agreement for Mongolia, this document will provide the basis for realizing the objectives to deepen relations between the two countries and to promote economic development of Mongolia” Mr Abe said.
Japanese PM informed that in accordance with the Agreement , Japan will allocate additional credit of 36.8 billion yen for the construction of the new airport in Mongolia and will send a group of experts for the development of the medium and long term economic policy of Mongolia.
In his turn, Prime minister of Mongolia Mr Ch.Saikhanbileg has expressed a gratitude for the hospitality and he said he is satisfied with inking the EPA.
The Agreement will serve to increase the bilateral trade volume, investments, exchange of products and it will also connect Mongolia to the global market and regional integration, said Mongolian Prime minister.
He also emphasized that “on the basis of the EPA, Mongolia wants to introduce Japanese know-how, to sell value added products to Japan’s and third countries’ markets”.
After this, Mr Saikhanbileg expressed a wish to meet Mr Abe in Mongolia.
