A tripartite meeting of leaders of Mongolia, China and Russia was held for the third time on June 23 in Tashkent city, Uzbekistan during the 16th Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit.
The first ever meeting of the state heads of the three countries took place at the initiative of President of Mongolia Mr Elbegdorj in September 2014 in Dushanbe, Tajikistan and the second meeting was hosted by Russia in Ufa city, in July 2015.
This time, the leaders of the three states confirmed to deepen the cooperation in the spheres of trade, economy, infrastructure, transit transportation, energy, tourism and border control.
It is considered that the signing of a program on building the Mongolia-China-Russia economic corridor and an agreement on a mutual recognition of results of a customs control with regard to particular categories of goods has enriched the trilateral cooperation with concrete contents by bringing it to a new volume.
Leaders of the countries agreed to closely cooperate in setting up a mechanism for creating the economic corridor between the countries.
