The first-day-of-issue ceremony for 20th anniversary of ASEM postage stamps has been held on April 15. Mongolian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) and "Mongol Post" state-owned enterprise unveiled the two sheets of postage stamps, officiating the issuance.
"This year is the 20th anniversary of ASEM, which makes the 11th ASEM Summit even more significant, said Foreign Minister L. Purevsuren. "This stamp will memorialize the unprecedented level of diplomatic achievement of Mongolia for posterity".
"ASEM 20th Anniversary" stamps depict the official logo of 11th ASEM Summit, the equestrian statue of Genghis Khan, Government Palace of Mongolia and central high-rise landmarks of the capital city Ulaanbaatar.
Also included in the stamp sheets are map of Asia and Europe, flag of Mongolia and other countries that organized the previous Summits, name of the capital city and the year of the ASEM11 Summit.
20,000 copies of “20th Anniversary of ASEM" stamps have been issued and each one is sold for 1,500 MNT.
