A ceremony took place on Tuesday to inaugurate an official logo and website of the 11th ASEM Summit that will be held in Ulaanbaatar in July, 2016.
Attaching a great importance to a successful organization of the Summit, a national council for hosting the event has been set up under chairmanship of the Prime Minister.
During the ceremony, a prize was handed over to a winner of the logo contest which ran nationawide from the 1st to 31st of March.
The logo will be used in promoting ASEM activities and preparation efforts locally in Mongolia.
During the ceremony, the 2016 ASEM Summit’s official website (asem11.mn) was also presented.
The official logo looks like as follows. The upper ring hole –Toono /upper frame/ of a Mongolian traditional dwelling ger represents the globe, which in turn interprets the significance of the 11th ASEM Summit. The slightly left-sloped E letter reflects the three belts of the Mongolian ger as well as the Past, the Present and the Future. The blue color embodies eternal blue sky, strength and peace, whereas the red color signifies dignity and prosperity. Blue and red are the colors of the national flag of Mongolia.
