Baku, August 8 (AzerTAc). The Oil and Gas Year has proposed signing a media partnership agreement with the Azerbaijan State Telegraph Agency (AzerTAc) as the magazine`s Country Editor Tomas Gerbasio visited the agency.
The sides reached preliminary agreement to sign a deal that will see AzerTac’s logo be placed on The Oil and Gas Year`s index page indicating the status of Media Partner.
The Oil & Gas Year is a series of annual, country-specific books, covering 35 of the world’s established and emerging petroleum and gas markets, producing business intelligence resources from primary research on the field. The magazine`s readership, audited by BPA Worldwide, consists of 69,000 chief executives, ministers, ministry officials and financial officers in Azerbaijan and internationally. Covering each country’s oil and gas supply chain through in-person interviews with leading public and private sector decision makers - Ministers and CEOs – together with exclusive maps and resources, The Oil & Gas Year serves as the premier point of reference on these markets for international investors and foreign governments.
AzerTAc Director General Aslan Aslanov informed Mr. Gerbasio, an Argentine national, on the agency`s history and role in ensuring the government`s information policy. Mr. Aslanov said AzerTAc maintained close cooperation with Spain`s EFE and Argentina`s TELAM news agencies both in the bilateral format and in international organizations. He said Baku would host the 16th General Assembly of the Organization of Asia Pacific News Agencies (OANA) and the 5th News Agencies World Congress in Baku in 2016, adding AzerTAc would chair these two organizations. “And this opens wider opportunities for our agency, which is strengthening its image in the international information community, to expand its foreign relations.”
Mr. Aslanov highlighted what had been done to promote news about Azerbaijan’s socio-political life in the Argentine media, stressing the importance of cooperation with TELAM news agency on this front.
“TELAM will soon launch ANSUR news website that will offer news about Azerbaijan too. Latest developments in Azerbaijan will be spread through this website in Spanish, English and Portuguese languages.”
Mr. Gerbasio provided an insight into the projects carried out by The Oil & Gas Year.
