President of Azerbaijan inaugurates Azguntex solar panels factory
Baku, April 24 (AzerTAc). President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev today inaugurated the Azguntex solar panel factory built by the State Agency on Alternative and Renewable Energy Sources, SAARES, in Sumgait city.
Akim Badalov, director of the State Agency on Alternative and Renewable Energy Sources, SAARES, informed that two production lines – the solar module and LED lamps production lines would function in the factory, the construction of which has started in January last year. As state, the solar modules production line is ready to fully operate.
Head of the Azerbaijani State cut the ribbon symbolizing opening of the factory. Then, the president got acquainted with the administrative building of factory.
President Ilham Aliyev viewed examples of solar panels produced in Azguntex factory.
The President was also informed about the “Thousand houses – thousand power stations” project to transform the solar energy to electric energy and provide each house separately with ecologically pure solar energy.
Then, the President familiarized himself with the solar panels production line employing 33 people currently. In three-shift operation the line will employ 130 people.
President of Azerbaijan set in motion the factory and watched the production process. Then, he was informed about the project of High Technologies Park to be created by the State Agency on Alternative and Renewable Energy Sources in Sumgait.
The President was also informed on the would-be-constructed waste processing plant in Sumgait.
The Head of State wished success to the staff of new facility.
