President of Azerbaijan receives RF State Duma’s delegation
Baku, July 6 (AzerTAc). President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received the delegation led by Chairman of the RF State Duma Committee for CIS Affairs and Compatriots Leonid Slutsky.
The Azerbaijani President praised conducting of regular meeting of the RF State Duma Committee for CIS Affairs and Compatriots in Baku, noting that it was a good indicator of the friendly relations between the two countries.
The relations between the Russian Federation and Azerbaijan are multi-faceted and encompass all fields of cooperation, President Aliyev said, noting that humanitarian cooperation between Russia and Azerbaijan can be example for other countries. This cooperation, according to the head of state, bases on friendly and partnership relations. The president estimated these relations as strategic partnership. The head of state especially stressed the role of parliaments of both countries in strengthening of bilateral relations. As stated, inter-parliamentary relations open new opportunities for intensive cooperation.
President of Azerbaijan expressed confidence the visit will enable the delegation members to widen their knowledge and information about current socio-economic conditions in the republic.
Chairman of the RF State Duma Committee for CIS Affairs and Compatriots Leonid Slutsky expressed pleasure with their visit to Baku, stressing the importance of the joint meeting of the Azerbaijan Milli Majlis international relations and inter-parliamentary ties standing committee and State Duma Committee for CIS Affairs and Compatriots. According to him, the inter-parliamentary cooperation will certainly contribute to deepening of the bilateral relations even more.
