The President of Mongolia Mr Ts.Elbegdorj arrived on Wednesday in Tokyo, Japan to pay a working visit. When the Prime Minister of Japan Mr Shinzo Abe welcomed the leader of Mongolia, the Honor guards were lined up and the state hymns of the two countries were sounded.
After that, Mr Elbegdorj and the PM Abe held official talks before calling a joint press conference.
During the talks, the two sides were unanimous in their judgment that it is important to deepen the strategic partnership and to develop equal and mutually beneficial cooperation between Japan and Mongolia.
At the joint press conference, Mr Shinzo Abe has informed that the holders of diplomatic passports of Mongolia are exempted from visa and multiple entry visa is granted for holders of ordinary passports.
He also said that in the framework of the programme on promoting a friendship between the children and youth of the NorthEastAsian countries, over 300 young people from Mongolia have been invited and visited Japan during the last two years. This year, Japan is inviting 200 mongolians.
Mr Shinzo Abe has also expressed the readiness of his country to send Japanese experts in order to support the efforts of Mongolia to boost its economy.
