President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and his wife Mehriban Aliyeva have attended the opening of the Heydar Aliyev Center in Goranboy.
A series of events are being carried out in Baku and all regions of the country to immortalize national leader Heydar Aliyev. The center is of particular importance in terms of studying and promoting the rich and diverse legacy of the nationwide leader. The photos and exhibits displayed at the center demonstrate that great leader Heydar Aliyev`s contribution to Azerbaijan’s transformation from a country, which faced a deep economic recession into a state that embarked on a path of comprehensive development and reinforced its international reputation, is truly invaluable.
The head of state viewed photos reflecting the national leader`s life and activities in different periods. A museum has been established in the center, which covers a total area of 4,300 square meters.
The center has meeting rooms, a 134-seat auditorium, an e-library, a language laboratory, an internet cafe, a drawing room, a shooting gallery, a photo studio, a carpet-weaving and sewing department.
