President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has attended the opening of Ziya Bunyadov Avenue after reconstruction in Baku.

President Ilham Aliyev viewed a photo stand reflecting the technical indicators of the highway.

Transport Minister Ziya Mammadov informed the head of state about the reconstruction work.

The repair and reconstruction work in Ziya Bunyadov Avenue started in May, 2013. This highway will directly link Koroghlu junction and Galaba circle. The 12-lane Avenue has 11 road junctions. The six-lane Chermet bridge was reconstructed, as well as a new six-lane bridge was built. Five pedestrian crossings were constructed along the avenue.

The head of state cut the ribbon symbolizing the official inauguration of the highway.
