Today, President of Mongolia Mr Elbegdorj met with Mr Alexander Lukashenko, the President of the Republic of Belarus.
At the meeting President Elbegdorj said: “Our two countries are landlocked and nuclear-free countries. We both shifted to market economy and we both surrounded by big neighbors. There are opportunities and potentials to intensify mutual ties between our two countries”.
Head of state of Mongolia also emphasized that Mongolia is interested to enhance bilateral relations with Belarus in several sectors. Belarus is one of the founding members of the Eurasian Economic Union. Through the partnership with Belarus, Mongolia has a willingness to cooperate with other members of the Eurasian Economic Union. 

In response, the President of the Republic of Belarus Mr Alexander Lukashenko said: “Our people are very similar, they are hardworking and kind. We can sell various things to each other. I think that it would be great to organize expert groups at the level of governments to study various avenues of cooperation and to develop joint projects”.
