Deputy Prime Minister U.Enkhtuvshin met yesterday with Deputy Prime Minister of Russia and Presidential Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District Mr Yu.P.Trutnev, who is on visit to Mongolia at the invitation of President Kh.Battulga.
Deputy Prime Minister U.Enkhtuvshin expressed willingness to develop mutually beneficial cooperation in directions of increasing Mongolia’s export volume in trade turnover of Russia, reviving traditional export such as meat and meat products, hides and leather and cashmere goods as well as augmenting Russian investment in Mongolia.
“Our two countries have full possibilities politically and economically, to discuss and define cooperation directions newly on the basis of exploring and understanding each other’s needs and interests” said Mr.Yu.P.Trutnev and expressed Russia will render support to the Government of Mongolia for establishing Free trade agreement with the Eurasian Economic Union.
On the same day, Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh received Mr.Yu.P.Trutnev.
"Mongolia is paying special attention on expanding regional and crossborder cooperation of the two countries. I consider that the cooperation will become main factor of trade and economic relations between Mongolia and Russia in future" Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh highlighted in the beginning of the meeting. "I see the prospect of trilateral cooperation of Mongolia, Russia and China positively” said the Prime Minister and expressed his belief that the cooperation will make significant contribution not only to the development of the three countries but also to the regional development."

"During my official visit to China in April, Chinese side affirmed its readiness to implement Trilateral Economic Corridor Program. Mongolia has willingness to implement three projects primarily out of the 32 projects of the program. Namely, renovation project of Ulaanbaatar Railway, AH3 Asian road project and an energy project which will be co-realized by Mongolia and Russia with Chinese financing. The energy project will be mutually beneficial for the cooperation of the two countries. Therefore I hope that Russia will support it" said Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh.
The two sides agreed there is much potential to deepen trade and economic ties between Mongolia and Russia through broadening relationships and cooperation with the Far East region of Russia.
