Baku, April 3 (AzerTAc). Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov has today viewed a photo exhibition at the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy marking the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Lavrov is on an official visit to Azerbaijan.
The exhibition featured 70 photos depicting meetings of the Azerbaijani and Russian top-ranking officials, including presidents and ministers of foreign affairs.
Lavrov hailed the organization of the exhibition.
He stressed Azerbaijan was a strategic partner of Russia, praising the two countries` relations in the cultural, humanitarian and educational fields.
Azerbaijani Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mammadyarov, who accompanied his Russian counterpart, described the two countries` relations as “rapidly developing”.
He stressed the importance of events marking the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
