A former PM of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Mr Tony Blair paid an official visit to Mongolia on March 22-23.
In frames of his visit, Mr Blair was received by President of Mongolia Elbegdorj Tsakhia; and Prime Minister Altankhuyag Norov. Mr Blair also held a meeting with Mr Saikhanbileg, head of Cabinet Secretariat of Government.
Mr Blair exchanged views with the Mongolian leaders on international issues, tendency of Mongolian political and economic development, opportunities to cooperate in mining and other economic spheres, the governmental policy and ways to develop it.
On the first day of visit, Mr Blair held an open discussion entitled “Globalization: Opportunities and Challenges, its impact to Mongolia” dedicated to scholars, students and diplomats of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“This is my first visit to Mongolia, and I hope this visit will not my last visit to Mongolia. Mongolia has many attractive things. As I served as the PM of Great Britain for ten years I am ready to share my experience and to cooperate with Mongolia,” Mr Blair told media.
