Ukraine’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan Alexander Mishenko visited Azerbaijan State Telegraph Agency (AzerTAc) to meet its Director General Aslan Aslanov.

The Director General said Azerbaijan and Ukraine had close friendly relations, adding there were strong partnership relations between the two countries` information agencies – AzerTAc and Ukrinform.

They discussed the current state of and prospects for bilateral information exchange between the two countries.

Aslan Aslanov said Ukrinform was one of the information agencies that AzerTAc created close relations both in CIS arena and within international organizations.

“AzerTAc is ready to create every condition for participation of Ukrinform in international media events hosted by the Agency.”

Ambassador Alexander Mishenko, in turn, highlighted close friendly and fraternal relations between the two countries` nations, adding Azerbaijan always supported Ukraine. The diplomat noted Azerbaijanis living in Ukraine actively participated in the country’s socio-political life, adding they consider Ukraine as their homeland.

The Ambassador underlined that Azerbaijani students study in the Ukrainian higher schools.

Ambassador Alexander Mishenko stressed the necessity of broadcasting the objective and impartial news regarding the current state of Ukraine in the world.

“AzerTAc plays an important role in delivering such news to Azerbaijani society”, he said

They stressed the difficulties the regional conflicts cause for the development of the entire region.
